Grève en couleurs (Shore in Colours)

These beautiful and colourful pebbles and stones can be admired on many beaches in the Gaspé Coast, Québec. You start your walk by collecting one or two, and after a few minutes, your pockets and your hands are overflowing with these gifts from the sea!

This watercolour was made on Aquabord (museum series panel) by Ampersand. This acid-free textured clay surface absorbs watercolours like a fine paper. Watercolours on Aquabord can be sealed and framed without glass, keeping colours and textures true to life. It has been sprayed varnished three times with a UV protection varnish and an additional liquid varnish is added to ensure that the image will not be altered with time.
